2021 Trial Lawyers Summit Recap

“TRIAL LAWYERS SUMMIT 2021”

Back in Business

AWESOME WEEK IN MIAMI BEACH

By Mark A. York (Mass Tort News) May 10, 2021

The first major live legal event post-March 2020 Covid shutdown and the impact on the legal industry, the 2021 Trial Lawyers Summit in Miami Beach was a confirmed success.  Based on attendance and participation last week, attendance at legal conferences is back in full swing.  Everyone seemed a bit cautious opening morning, but by the time the opening night party started, things were pretty much back to normal. The Broughton Partners party on the Lowe’s lawn was well attended, speakers had high attendance and everyone seemed comfortable with public interaction throughout the week.

Business was transacted as expected but more importantly there was a sense of normalcy and the reconnecting of friends and others that take place only at the larger legal events and this one was well received by all there and many seemed relieved to be able to meet publicly again with a Covid cloud hanging overhead.

A big thank you to Michelle Swanner and the Trial Lawyers Summit team as well as National Trial Lawyers for allowing Mass Tort News to speak with attendees and guest to make sure that everyone in and out of the legal industry sees that live attendance events are returning.

Friends reconnecting and vendors were doing business, food and drinks openly shared! The common thread was everyone was ready to return to pre-covid business practices, including in-person meetings and attending live events which includes Lanier Trial Academy 5.0 in June and MTMP in October. Based on last week, attendance should be full at both and everyone will be comfortable in the return to normal, with continued awareness of a very limited covid risk.

Mass Tort News and LegalCast want to thank everyone we met with and saw at the Trial Lawyers Summit and wish you all the best during the “return to normal” phase we are going through. This is not only in the legal event world, but law firm return to work and our day to day lives where we are able to see and meet with family and friend on a regular basis.
