Jury Concludes Pharmaceutical Companies Fueled Opioid Crisis in NY

Earlier this morning a jury held Teva Pharmaceuticals and 5 other entities responsible for fueling and contributing to the opioid crisis, causing a public nuisance in Nassau County, Long Island. Over the six-month long New York Opioid Trial, the jury heard evidence of how the companies minimized the addictiveness of opioids with misleading marketing.

Congrats to Napoli Shkolnik PLLC for this victory. This battle, which began in 2017, is not yet over – a damages trial will be held in 2022.
